Burston 2011 - Rural Revolt

Country Standard had a large presence at this year's Burston Festival, Nr Diss, Norfolk. Leading labour movement speakers lay in to the Coalition government policy and, in particular, the proposed break-up of the Agricultural Wages Board and downgrading of the Gangmasters' Licencing Authority.

500 Standards were distributed along with many more campaign brochures calling for support for the 2 October commemoration of the Battle of Cable Street.

The rain also held off until late in the day.

Big thanks to those who worked on the Country Standard stall at Burston and gave their support to the paper that stands up for rural communities.
